Ryan Spratt has been performing in Toronto's diverse music scene as both an electric and double bassist for over 15 years and is a graduate of Humber College, where he earned a Bachelor of Music.
Performance highlights include concerts with jazz saxophonist Chris Potter and Silverthorn Symphonic Winds. Touring credits include Daft Punk Tribute and Maple Blues Award nominee Chris Antonik.
Recordings include funk/soul band Yuka, Michael Schatte (Toronto Blues Society Talent Search winner) and Comedy Records’ Garrett Jamieson and Sprattacus (featuring music written by Ryan). Garrett Jamieson & Sprattacus were winners of the 2019 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Variety Act.
Ryan’s project Sprattacus features writing, producing and performing by Spratt with long-time writing and performing partner Mike Simpson (a.k.a. Jack Moves). 2022 saw the release of the debut album from Sprattacus, titled “Good For Business”.
Whether playing jazz, afro-beat, classical, folk, or electronic music, Ryan Spratt has proven himself to be a solid, ambitious and versatile musician.
